Karachi Port activities

The Karachi Port handled 109,932 tonnes of cargo including 80,828 tonnes of import cargo; 29,104 tonnes of export cargo and 3,411 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 80,828 tonnes comprised of 28,991 tonnes of containerised cargo; 592 tonnes of general cargo; 15,945 tonnes of bulk cargo and 35,300 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 29,104 tonnes comprised of 16,249 tonnes of containerised cargo; 45 tonnes of general cargo; 11,010 tonnes of bulk cargo and 1,800 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. A total number of five ships sailed out to sea during the reported period. A total number of six vessels are currently at the berths.
