An arson attack Sunday by anti-India demonstrators on a police station in Indian held Kashmir triggered a series of blasts that left four protesters dead and more than 30 injured, police said. A large crowd of angry protesters attacked the station in Khrew village, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) south of the occupied Srinagar, forcing the policemen inside to flee.
They then set fire to the ransacked building. The flames set off a cache of explosives in a series of blasts that demolished most of the station house, a senior local police officer told AFP by telephone.
