He termed the widespread destruction in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and large areas of Punjab a national tragedy that needs be dealt with collectively, setting aside all differences. "It is time to bridge these rifts to cope with this tragedy and show national solidarity in supporting the victims in all possible ways", he added. "The ongoing spree of targeted killings and street violence show an appalling level of insensitivity on the part of the perpetrators.
It is evident that they have no concern for the country and are only pursuing their own vested interests. It's about time the peaceful Pakistanis took a stand against such forces by refusing to give in to their malicious designs. We need to pull our efforts together to uproot these forces and keep our focus on peace and progress", he further said.
