Minister for Law and Justice Babar Awan has said that those who are objecting over the President's foreign tour should now come out of the local politics. He said this while speaking to media after attending a seminar in the International Islamic University here. He said that those who believe in the 'politics of shoes' should realise that the PPP workers have also put on pair of shoes.
He said that the objection over the President's foreign trips was illogical as all powers have been transferred to the Prime Minister after the 18th Amendment. He said that the powerful Prime Minister is present in the country and actively engaged in providing relief to the affected people.
He said that 'Thakht-e-Lahore' is still doing local politics and scoring points over the devastating flood, which is not a legitimate thing. Earlier, addressing the seminar on 'Women Rights', he said that Islam is the first religion which ensured women with all rights. Islam is a religion, which has always respected women and believes in giving respectable place to them.
There are ample examples of women leadership in the Islamic history and "anyone should not be doubtful about our religion as far as the women rights are concerned".
