Capital City Police Chief (CCPO) Aslam Tareen here Monday produced the four-month old son of Asma Zahra, sister in-law of film actress Meera, before the Lahore High Court and Chief Justice handed over the minor to his mother. The Chief Justice therefore disposed of habeas corpus petition filed by Ms Asma, who had sought recovery of her son Muhammad Murtaza from the illegal custody of his father Ahsan Abbas.
She submitted that her husband had made her leave the house along with the minor baby. On June 4 2010 Ahsan Abbas, accompanied by armed men, attacked her parents' house and took away the child.
