Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab, Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, has said that Raiti Canal flowing from Guddu Barrage in Sindh is being breached by the local population in such a manner that a number of villages of Punjab have been inundated and there is a threat to human lives and property in many other villages.
Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has lodged a strong protest on behalf of Punjab government in this regard. In a statement, Sirdar Zulfiqar Khosa demanded of Prime Minister and Chief Minister Sindh to immediately check such activities and take stern action against the elements endangering human lives by breaching the canal on the side of Punjab. He said that if such activities were not checked the National Highway would also be cut off from the other cities.
