DPO RYK asked to appear before court on August 18

Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Tuesday sought personal appearance of DPO Rahim Yar Khan (RYK) for August 18 in connection with a Suo Motu notice into murder of former president of Liaqatpur Bar Association Nisar-ul-Hassan. Inspector Shamasuddin who appeared before the court told CJ that Counsel Qasim Saihi had identified some persons and they were interrogated.
However, no concrete material was available to arrest them. Counsel said police were doing only lip serving. On it, CJ said he could change the investigator but Qasim advocate said he was satisfied with progress in investigation. He prayed to CJ to summon DPO to get information about progress in investigation and CJ issued the orders accordingly.
