'Argentina's soyaoil sales up despite China'

Argentina's soyaoil exports continue to rise despite an import stop by key customer China, Hamburg-based oilseeds analysts Oil World said on Tuesday. But some sales have been made at lower prices than rival producers Brazil and the United States, Oil World said.
China, a huge soyaoil buyer, in March blocked imports of soyaoil from Argentina, the world's largest exporter, after the South American country imposed anti-dumping duties on some Chinese products. The dispute remains unresolved. Despite the China dispute, Argentina's soyaoil exports in July rose to 570,000 tonnes, up 41 percent on the year, continuing a sharp rise in June, Oil World said. Argentina made no soyaoil shipments to China in July, in July 2009 it had exported 199,000 tonnes to the Asian country.
Instead Argentina boosted July 2010 soyaoil exports to India to 270,000 tonnes against 50,000 tonnes in July 2009 and also shipped larger quantities to South Korea, other Asian countries, the EU and several African countries, Oil World said.
