The Karachi Port handled 93,659 tonnes of cargo including 74,856 tonnes of import cargo, 18,803 tonnes of export cargo, 4,040 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 74,856 tonnes comprised of 28,190 tonnes of containerised cargo; 553 tonnes of general cargo; 29,113 tonnes of bulk cargo: 677 tonnes of fertiliser; 22,000 tonnes of coal; 4,382 tonnes of scrap; 636 tonnes of TS Phosphate; 1,418 tonnes of oil cake meals and 17,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 18,803 tonnes comprised of 6,551 tonnes of containerised cargo; 6,852 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,216 tonnes of cement; 5,636 tonnes of bulk cement and 5,400 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Eleven ships namely Hyundai Tacoma, Lighting Barge, Tug Thunder, Torm Venture, TS Dubai, Greenwich Bridge, Al-Mirqab, YM America, OEL Trust, Lucky Lady and Istra Ace sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Five vessels viz Taban-1, President Truman, OEL Trust, Istra Ace and Cathrina are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Buxmaster, Sichem Ruby, Taban-1 and MT Karachi expected to sail on Wednesday, while three vessels viz Bunga Raya Sambilan, Unicorn Brave and Bavaria Express are expected to sail on Thursday. Five vessels viz Bunga Raya Sambilan, S B Queen, Saeed, Ocean Project and Free Goddess due to arrive on Wednesday, while six ships namely CSL Ride, Williamsburg Bridge, Anke, Caribbean Carrier, Armstrong and Danica Green are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 67,429 tonnes of cargo includes 49,544 tonnes of import cargo; 17,885 tonnes of export cargo and 1,720 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 49,544 tonnes includes 27,428 tonnes of furnace oil; 3,104 tonnes of chemicals; 734 tonnes of sugar; 6,308 tonnes of coal and 11,970 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 17,885 tonnes includes 6,821 tonnes of cement and 11,064 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Five vessels viz MT Sichem Defender, MT Al-Khalidia, CV Nedlloyd Hudson, CV Saudi Diriyah and MT Pertivi sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while three more ships namely MV Lady Nariman, MT SC Dongh Hai and MV Beilun Whale are expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total number of eleven ships namely CV Nedlloyd Hudson, CV Saudi Diriyah, CV Zhen Hua, MV Rana, MV Al-Kawther, MV Amira's, MV Lady Nariman, MT Pertivi, MT Al-Khalidia, MT SC Dongh Hai and MV Beilun Whale are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, chemicals, palm oil, furnace oil and coal respectively during last 24 hours.
Nine vessels viz Ikaruga, Eddy Stone, FR-8 Regina Mar, Al-Soor-II, Sichem Edin Burgh, Nolowati, Alexi-1, Moon Light and Zenobia carrying containers, diesel oil, chemicals, cement and rice are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of five ships namely CV Eddy Stone, CV Ikaruga, CV CMA CGM Quartz, MV Nolowati and MT FR-8 Regina Mar carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal (MW-1) and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Two edible oil vessels viz MT JBO Onyx and MT Agent Bloom are due to arrive on Wednesday, while three more container ships namely CV New Delhi Express, CV Marguerite Rickmers and Antji Wulff are due to arrive on Thursday.
