Damage to electricity infrastructure and power houses in the flood has decreased power generation of the Wapda Houses in different parts of the country. On the other hand change of climate increased heat and humidity due to which public has started excessive use of air-conditioners.
These have caused severe over loading and low voltage on distribution system, unexpected break downs occurs, transformers burn and some time grid stations develop technical faults, due to all these reasons people face power break downs. In order to overcome break downs or to reduce loadshedding, Pesco appeals its consumers in their own and their national interest to immediately reduce usage of ACs and people using power illegally must immediately remove the direct hooks because these two reasons basically creates problems for general public.
The power company has urged its customers to play their due role in reducing of the use of electricity, keep all extra lights put off and must use energy savers instead of bulbs and tube lights, motor pumps and other electric equipment may not be used in peak hours, Pesco appeals to minimise use of ACs.
Pesco has requested the traders to shut their business by 9pm and also to use minimum lights and ACs during the business hours. Pesco can overcome the current energy crisis only with the help of its valuable consumers and especially with the help of traders and pump owners.
Similarly, general public has been requested not to take law into their hands and avoid any kind of damages to the electricity distribution system; Pesco is trying its level best to remove faults and to restore power supply in affected areas. The people instead of taking law in to hands adopt conservation of energy it will help Pesco to reduce load management, breakdowns will be minimised and uninterrupted power supply will be available.
Power shutdown: Due to some necessary work power supply will remain suspended from 132 KV Peshawar City Grid Station on 24th August from 8am to 9am, resultantly consumers of 11 kv Nishtar Abad, 11 kv Chamkani. Similarly, power supply will remain suspended from 132 KV Peshawar Shahi Bagh Grid Station on 23rd August from 7am to 1pm, resultantly consumers of 11 kv Delazak and OPF feeders will face inconvenience.
