On Wednesday, the BRIndex30 opened at 7,483.35 points and, after an initial surge in the first hour, fell down and remained in negative till the end of the trading session with downward trend. It touched the intra-day high of 7,546.44 points and low of 7,347.94 points and closed at 7,388.79 points with a net negative change of -94.56 points, or -1.26 percent.
The volume was 27,456,913 shares, which was 59.71 percent of KSE All share volume and 90.69 percent of KSE-100 volume. The KSE All Share volume was 45,982,526 shares and KSE-100 volume was 30,277,016 shares. BR Commercial Banks Index closed at 2,151.37 with a net negative change of -33.69 points or percentage change of -1.54 and turnover of 6,914,374 shares.
BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 590.34 with a net negative change of -5.96 points or percentage change of -1 and turnover of 4,232,137 shares. BR Cement Index closed at 639.97 with a net negative change of -4.62 points or percentage change of -0.72 and turnover of 3,525,562 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,525.68 with a net negative change of -5.08 points or percentage change of -0.33 and turnover of 2,368,868 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,274.67 with a net negative change of -5.07 points or percentage change of -0.22 and turnover of 2,038,600 shares.
