Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) has been soliciting funds and donations from its partners and facilitated companies in other countries. Among the facilitated companies, Azur Solar from Germany has shown deep interest in fund raising for flood victims in Pakistan.
Given the recent flood crises in Pakistan, a German company Azur Solar along with other volunteer bodies has started to extend aid for flood victims. The company has actively gathered the donations and working on the preparation of aid packages, which include tents, cover sheets, clothes and medicines for the flood victims.
According to the spokesperson of the PBIT Pakistan's honorary consul Sikander Mir-Kohler is co-ordinating from Stuttgart to facilitate transport of aid packages. Mir-Kohler said that target is to achieve more donations and help for Pakistan. He also said that the fund raising campaign has been divided into three phases.
The first aid package will be distributed on September 8 (today) in the province of Punjab and will primarily consist of food, medicines, tents, blankets and clothes. In the next phase, additional foodstuffs such as flour, rice, sugar, oil, milk, and tea will be issued for the victims. For the last phase, the donations will be gathered for the rehabilitation of villagers who have lost their homes.
