President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Mohammad Ishaq Butt in a press statement has expressed gratitude to Federal Tax Ombudsman, Dr Muhammad Shoaib Suddle for his favours to resolve the long outstanding issue of sales tax claims pending since 2006.
He also thanked the chairman, FBR for resolving the matter. He said that the matter could not be resolved in four years. Ultimately, the matter was taken up with the FTO during his visit to the SCCI who was kind enough to intervene into the issue to get it resolved. Refund amount of Rs 180 million of the exporters stuck up for the last four years would now be paid to them, he disclosed. He hailed the services of the FTO office under Shoaib Suddle, which responds proactively to the applications.
