Pakistan has the best strategic location with three efficient sea ports which can meet the requirement of Afghanistan and Central Asian States for transit of their cargo. This was stated by Tariq Mehmood Chaudhry, Chairman of Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association who is leaving for Istanbul, Turkey to represent Pakistan in ECO Logistic Providers Association Federation to be held from 16th September 2010.
Keeping in view its highly important strategic location Pakistan is playing a key role in freight forwarding in ECO region, which includes Afghanistan and former Russian states, Due to large number of landlocked countries in ECO member states their transit facilities of their import/export goods are provided by Pakistan and Iran.
Due to rich experience and command over subject of Freight Forwarding and Afghan Transit Trade Ministry of Communication, Government of Pakistan has nominated Tariq Mehmood Chaudhry to represent Pakistan in the said meeting. Tariq Chaudhry will highlight the potential and capability of Pakistan for providing transit trade facilities to Afghanistan and other Central Asian States.-PR
