ICE benchmark raw sugar futures eased back from a seven-month high early on Monday, as nearby demand and adverse weather underpinned prices. ICE arabica futures were lower but remained within sight of a 13-year peak, while cocoa edged down. The ICE October raw sugar futures contract expires on September 30.
ICE October raw sugar futures traded up 0.01 cents or 0.1 percent at 24.62 cents a lb as at 1421 GMT. ICE December arabica coffee futures traded down 3.85 cent or 2.03 percent at $1.8545 a lb. ICE December cocoa traded down $7 or 0.3 percent at $2,739 per tonne.
