Thin business was seen on the wholesale grain and seed market on Tuesday though most of the traders were willing to purchase at the falling rates, dealers said. On the cereal side makai was quoted at Rs 2625, barley Sindh and Mardan registered lower at Rs 2350-2400, Khandsari was sharply lower by Rs 500 to Rs 9000, they said.
On the rice sector Irri-9 Sindh was down by Rs 100 to Rs 3800-3900 and Irri-6 Sindh low type was up by Rs 25 to Rs 3175 while the best quality retained the overnight level at Rs 3200, Irri white Broken rice shed Rs 50 to Rs 2650-2700, they added. On the seed side rapeseeds Nawabshah was lower by Rs 25 to Rs 1950-1975. Rapeseeds Mirpurlane also shed Rs 20 to Rs 1950-1975 and cakes fell by Rs 10 to Rs 750-755 and castorseeds Sindh fell by Rs 100 to Rs 2000, other items did not show any change in process of trading, they said.
