The Karachi Port handled 138,387 tonnes of cargo including 107,301 tonnes of import cargo, 31,086 tonnes of export cargo, 4,692 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The total import cargo of 107,301 tonnes comprised of 37,098 tonnes of containerised cargo; 3,266 tonnes of general cargo; 21,268 tonnes of bulk cargo: 8,578 tonnes of coal; 1,602 tonnes of rock phosphate; 4,528 tonnes of DAP; 330 tonnes of wheat; 4,924 tonnes of steel scrap; 1,306 tonnes of sodium sulphate and 45,669 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 31,086 tonnes comprised of 26,099 tonnes of containerised cargo; 610 tonnes of general cargo and 4,347 tonnes of cement. Eight ships namely Evridiki, Ocean Island, Wan Hai-603, Bunga Raya Tujuh, CSL Ride, Fairwind, Irenes Rainbow and APL Shezhen sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Four vessels viz Liberty Eagle, Duburg, Bunga Raya Tujuh and Union Carrier are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Duburg and Conti Express expected to sail on Tuesday, while two vessels viz Chem Norma and Union Carrier are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Five vessels viz APL Turquoise, Thana Bhum, Eastern Highway, Eagle Milwaukee and Golden Arrow-II due to arrive on Tuesday, while five ships namely Alliance Buenos Aries, Bunga Raya Sambilan, MSC Anafi, Thuringia Express and Unicorn Brave are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 47,667 tonnes of cargo includes 24,396 tonnes of import cargo and 23,271 tonnes of export cargo inclusive of containerised cargo carried in containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours.
The total import cargo of 24,396 tonnes includes 3,616 tonnes of palm oil; 6,136 tonnes of sugar; 8,554 tonnes of chemicals and 6,090 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 23,271 tonnes includes 7,191 tonnes of cement and 16,080 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four vessels viz CV MSC Sena, CV Mearsk Georgea, CV Northern Diplomate and MT Ginga Panther sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two more ships are expected to sail on Tuesday. A total number of six ships namely CV Northern Diplomate, MT Sapphire, MT Hae Song, MT Chem Orchid, MV Royal Pearl and MT Stolt Markland are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, palm oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.
Six vessels viz CV Al-Noof, CV Nedlloyd Barntsz, CV Malieco, MT Dubai Sun, MSC Oslo and Prosperity carrying containers, iron ore and palm oil are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of five ships namely CV Malieco, CV Nedlloyd Barntsz, CV Al-Noof, MT Dubai Sun and Prosperity carrying containers, iron ore and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, IO&C Berth and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Four vessels viz MT St. Martin, MT Emarbit, CV MSC Roberta and CV MSC Jade due to arrive on Tuesday, while seven more ships are due to arrive on the same day.
