Ashraf Qureshi, central joint secretary of PML-F, has suggested that PML-N high command, setting aside personal differences, should join the upcoming unification of various factions of Muslim League, otherwise it would have to face a difficult situation in the next general elections.
Talking to newsmen here on Saturday, he said that leaders of his party had initiated the efforts for unification of the Muslim League factions, as the current circumstances demand that all 'Muslim Leaguers' should unite under a single umbrella to counter the anti-Pakistan forces and to steer the country out of the existing crisis.
He said that people were talking about change in the government, or change of system, due to the anti-people policies of the government and its poor governance, while the incumbent setup could not sustain if it would not take immediate measures for the welfare of the masses and safeguarding national interests of the country.
Unification of Muslim League stressed Disunity among the factions of Muslim League has weakened Pakistan's support for Kashmir and Palestine, as the incumbent rulers are not close to the ideological foundations of Pakistan, said opposition member in Punjab Assembly, Khadija Umer Farooqi.
Ashraf Qureshi said that PML-Q chief, Shujaat Hussain, is an upright politician, who, setting aside his personal differences, was employing efforts to strengthen the Muslim League. He said that Quaid's Pakistan was facing serious ideological crisis and only strong Muslim League could overcome this crisis.
