Silver at new high, gold steady

Silver prices on Saturday hit historic high mark of Rs 625 per tola while gold price remained steady at the last high of Rs 41, 450 per tola on the local market, traders said. Silver surpassed the last high of Rs 620 per tola to fresh peak of Rs 625, they said, adding the price of silver per 10 grams also reached a new high of Rs 535.71 up from Rs 531.42.
The international price of silver was quoted as hitting all-time high of 21.4 dollars an ounce. "Price of gold stayed unchanged as Rs 41, 450 per tola and Rs 35,528 per 10-gram on the local market, however, global market reduced to 1,286 dollars an ounce from 1,298 dollars," they said.
