Justice Jan took oath as acting CEC

Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday administered oath of the office to Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Judge Supreme Court, as acting Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) in a ceremony.
Judges of the Supreme Court, Attorney General for Pakistan, Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan, D. G Human Rights Cell, representatives of the Bar, lawyers, officers of Law & Justice Commission of Pakistan and law officers also attended the ceremony. Dr Faqir Hussain, Registrar Supreme Court of Pakistan conducted the proceedings of oath taking ceremony.
