The 137th "World Post Day" will be celebrated in Pakistan on October 9 in a befitting manner. An official of ministry of postal services informed APP that to celebrate the day, the ministry will hold a function at Postal Staff College, G-8/4 Islamabad.
Senior postal executives and heads of other departments will participate in the ceremony, in which Federal Minister for Postal Service Israr Ullah Zehri will be the chief guest. Apart from this function, activities including presentation of Universal Postal Union (UPU), reading out message of DG UPU presentations, songs by a group of school children, play of selected song containing theme of UPU written by Additional Director General (Operational) Fazli Sattar Khan, would take place. The official said the ministry would also distribute aid packets among the flood-affected postal employees of different parts of the country.
