Inland Revenue Audit Officer Association on Tuesday congratulated Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Sohail Ahmed on his promotion as Secretary Revenue Division. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, the Muhammad Afzal Malik President Inland Revenue Audit Officer Association congratulated Chairman FBR on his promotion with the request to plead their case of upgradation of the post of Inland Revenue Audit Officer. The association has highly appreciated his honesty, hardworking and dedication.
The association has requested the Chairman FBR to peruse the Establishment Division and Ministry of Finance regarding the pending issue of upgradation of the post of Inland Revenue Audit Officer as more than 350 Inland Revenue Audit Officers are anxiously waiting for their upgradation notification.
He also requested the chairman to take immediate steps for the implementation of Board's order for the posting of Inland Revenue Audit Officers as Unit Incharge as per Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, Sales Tax Act,1990 and Federal Excise Act,2005. In a few RTOs/LTUs Board's order is still not implemented in its true letter and spirit. This scenario create disparity among the countrywide Inland Revenue Audit Officers, the association added.
