Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was the first person in subcontinent who introduced the concept of Two Nation Theory and paved way to the formation of Pakistan."
This was stated by Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) Chancellor Engr. Z. A. Nizami in a ceremony held to celebrate Sir Syed Day at the University's Campus. He elaborated that in pursuit of scientific knowledge and awareness, SSUET continued to promote Aligarh spirit and progressive thinking among the students.
While speaking on the occasion, he informed that around more than 5,000 students were registered in the university and 910 SSUET graduates were doing masters in USA or associated with high profile jobs. "Admission process for the year 2011 has begun and we have 10 applicants for one seat, which shows how popular and famous is our university in academic sector," he said.
On this auspicious occasion, Professor Dr Waqar Ahmed Rizvi said that ideo1ogical movement Tehreek-e-Aligarh brought revolution in thinking of Muslims and it eventually culminated in Tehreek-e-Pakistan. "Sir Syed founded Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875 with aimed at promoting social and economic development of Muslims."-PR
