The finalised lists of indicators would provide imperative guidance for decision-making enabling the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government in translating knowledge into manageable information, and to measure and standardise progress towards development goals while providing precautionary insights for corrective measures in the development process.
Dr Amber Ali Khan, Chief Economist and Provincial Project Director, Strengthening PRS Monitoring Project, Planning and Development Department of GoKP, remarked during one-day consultative workshop on "Finalising sector-wise standard indicators" organised by Strengthening PRS Monitoring Project of UNDP in collaboration with Provincial Bureau of Statistics, GoKP here on Tuesday.
The purpose of the workshop was to review these indicators developed by Bureau of Statistics, GoKP, get the feedback of stakeholders such as senior representatives of relevant provincial departments including education, health, population welfare and demography, Social welfare, women development, Zakat and Usher besides many national and international organisations such as WHO, SDPI and independent development partners to bring further improvements in the standardisation of these indicators to make them more inclusive, representative and responsive to the varying development needs of citizens of KP.
