Khurram Sayeed, Chief Executive, Iran-Pak Wind Power (Pvt) Ltd called upon the new Consul General (CG) of Iran in Karachi, Abbas Ali Abdollahi at the Iranian consulate. The two discussed the status of Iran-Pakistan Wind project, wherein Sayeed apprised the CG that so for, land for the project has not been allotted by Sindh Government, even though an MoU was signed in April 2010 with Sindh Board of Investment.
He thanked the CG for the continuous aid being delivered by government of Iran for the victims of the floods which, to date, amounts to around 5,300 tons of goods with another US $100 million to follow for the re-construction and rehabilitation phase. Speaking on the occasion, Abdollahi assured that he would take up (land allotment) matter with the relevant authority for expediting work so that the joint venture could move ahead.-PR
