Prize bonds' verification: notice to PML-N MNA issued

Lahore High Court on Friday issued notice to PML-N MNA Khawaja Saad Rafique in a petition seeking verification of prize bonds from State Bank of Pakistan which the legislator submitted earlier. The petitioner Humayun Akhter of PML-Q, who lost election against Rafique, submitted in his main petition that the MNA had concealed his assets at the time of filing nomination papers and also did not disclosed whereabouts of his huge money earned.
Akhter contended that the MNA later claimed that he got the money from the won prize bonds of Rs 40.37 million during year 2003 to 2007. He said that the MNA did not mention details of these prizes before the election commission.
