Faisalabad District Planning and Design Committee (DPDC) approved of 20 roads of Faisalabad city for commercialisation purpose, according to 'Punjab Development Authority Land Use (Classification, Reclassification and Redevelopment Rules, 2009).
The meeting of DPDC held under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner/ Chairman, DPDC, Tahir Hussain, and was attended by the Director Development and Finance Dr Tariq Sardar, officials of FDA, CTO Asif Khan, TMOs and relevant officers.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned officers that the stakeholders who are permitted future commercial use of these roads should be told about relevant rules while any irregularity to disturb the duty and co-ordinated commercial activities would not be tolerated. He said that on the completion on commercialisation process of international standard would provide regulated traffic system, clean atmosphere and incentives for better investments to the citizens of Faisalabad.
The roads approved for commercialisation purpose are: Chen One Road (People Colony Plot No 593 Saleemi Chowk to Hameed Chowk Plot No 652); Tanki Wala Road (Peoples Colony Plot No 669 to OHR Tanki No 1); Faisal Hospital Road (plot No 642 to 669 Peoples Colony); Satiana Road (near CNG plot No 345 to plot No 331 Peoples Colony); Tizab Mills Road (plot No 1 to plot 331); Hafeezpuri House Road (plot No 475 to plot No 5); Mian Abdul road (plot No 1 to plot No 18); Galaxy Store Road (plot No 1 to plot No 392);
Chaman Fruit Juice Road (plot No 907 to plot No 914, block B along with Satiana Road between Batala Colony plot No 585 to 329); Peoples Colony A,C Block along with Jaranwala Road plot 108 to plot No 1); National Hospital Road (plot No 393 to plot No 182 Jinnah Colony); Pak Sweet Road (plot No 399 to plot No 176);
Government College Road (plot No 27 to 182); Gulberg Road (plot No 436 to 393, Gate chowk to Darul Alum plot No 1 to Darul Alum Peoples Colony, Pul D Type to Madni Masjid plot 169 to 2492 Samnabad); Samundri Road (plot No 1804 to 1816 D Type Colony), Dr Salma Aziz Road (plot No 108 to 99 Peoples Colony and Choormajra More Chowk plot No 1437 to 1496 Ghulam Muhammadabad).
