Pakistan Wapda's striker Khuda Bakhsh alias Bakhsho joined his name in hat-trick makers list when he struck thrice in Wapda's 5-2 win over KPT in the Pakistan Premier Football League 2010 match at Garhi Shahu's Railway Stadium on Friday. Bakhsho did the feat in the second session after 1-1 at interval.
NBP, Army and PAF advance In other matches, Young Blood, Sahiwal went down 1-2 at the hands of NBP while Army defeated Afghan FC 2-0. PAF got rid of HBL 2-0 in another match. Wapda had to thank Bakhsho for their 12th successive win in the competition. In fact Wapda staged recovery to win the match after winger Zahid Ahmed opened the scoring for KPT in the 24th minute but Zeeshan Javed fired the leveller in the 40th minute.
Bakhsho put electricitymen up in the 59th minute and striker Arif Mehmood made it 3-1 with his 18th goal of the event in the 68th minute. From then on, Bakhsho proved too smart for Portmen defence and struck twice in the 76th and 86th minute to put the issue beyond doubt. It was fifth hat-trick of the event after Arif Mehmood twice, Zafar Majeed (KPT) once and Jadeed Khan (Afghan FC) once.
Two internationals opened the gate for NBP to record their third win when they overwhelmed Sahiwal outfit 2-1. Army edged out Afghan FC 2-0 with goals in each session. Left full Muhammad Imran landed 12th minute opener and Sharjeel Vicky doubled the margin 18 minutes from final whistle.
The identical scoreline was witnessed when Pakistan Air Force recorded their sixth win by brushing aside HBL 2-0. It was tenth defeat for the bankers who managed only five points in their 13 matches. PAF were 1-0 through Striker Muhammad Mujahid's tenth minute goal. It was fifth goal for Faisalabad-born Mujahid as PAF led 1-0 at interval and added another in the 86th minute through Saleh Khan, first goal in the competition for Landi Kotal born midfielder. The win pushed Army to third spot with 24 points, after leaders Wapda 37 points and Afghan 26 points.
