PMEX index closes at 3,075 points

KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited’s commodity index on Tuesday closed at 3,075 points.

The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at Rs438 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,079, said press release here on Wednesday.

The major business was contributed by gold amounting to Rs4.195 billion, followed by currencies through COTS Rs2.127 billion, DJIA Rs639.660 million, WTI crude oil Rs615.596 million, silver Rs233.239 million, platinum Rs219.082 million, copper Rs123.280 million, NSDQ100 Rs107.417 million, SNP500 Rs77.290 million, Brent crude oil Rs53.355 million) and natural gas Rs46.080 million.
