The holding of Inter College Bilingual debate always remained one of salient features of academic session here at Bahria College Naval Complex. This year all leading institutions of the town participated in Inter College debate held on October 28-29.
The students speak in favour and against the topics very impressively, which speak volume of their intellectual growth and maturity of thoughts. Commodore Syed Shahab Hamid Hashmi SI (M) Deputy Director Human Resources Bahria University Islamabad was the chief guest on October 28 in Urdu Debate, while Commodore Jamil Akhtar SI (M) T Bt. Commander North and President Managing Committee graced the occasion as Chief Guests on October 29 at the event of English Debates.
Muhammad Rizwan of Army Public School & College, Rawalpindi secured first prize in Urdu Debate, while Maria Jaffery of Army Public School & College, Rawalpindi won first prize in English Debate. The trophy for the event was bagged by Army Public School and College, Rawalpindi. Commodore Jamil Akhtar SI (M), T.Bt advised the students to focus more on the co-curricular activities especially in Public Speaking which helps the students to establish confidence, logical thinking and approach. Commodore Azhar Majeed Khan, Principal Bahria College, Islamabad expressed his gratitude to the participating teams and their teachers. He, while facilitating the prize winners, impressed upon them to work hard and overcome the deficient areas so as to rank themselves amongst the top ones.-PR
