The profit after tax of Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) has increased to Rs 875.113 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 733.557 million earned in the corresponding period in 2009. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Thursday declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 15.19 in the period under review against Rs 12.74 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company's sales increased to Rs 21.157 billion in this quarter against Rs 18.973 billion in the same period a year back. The company paid Rs 2.774 billion as sales tax in this period against Rs 2.435 billion in the same account in the same period last year. The cost of product sold increased to Rs 17.541 billion against Rs 15.778 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 1.190 billion in this quarter as compared to Rs 1.019 billion in the same quarter last year.
