The profit after tax of Telecard Limited has increased to Rs 251.746 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 28.017 million earned in the corresponding period in 2009. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on October 30, 2010 declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Re 0.84 in the period under review against Re 0.09 in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company's net revenue declined to Rs 413.407 million in this quarter against Rs 874.988 million in the same quarter last year. The company's direct cost reduced to Rs 382.377 million against Rs 516.295 million.
The company's distribution cost and administrative expenses declined to Rs 88.975 million in this period against Rs 113.080 million in the same period last year while other operating income increased to Rs 11.232 million against Rs 7.879 million. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 393.658 million in this quarter against Rs 124.638 million in the same quarter last year.
