Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has once again failed to clear bowling action test that was conducted on November 1 in England’s town Loughborough, ICC said on Thursday.

According to ICC, the assessment revealed that the majority of his deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance.

In accordance with Article 11.1 of the ICC Illegal Bowling Regulations, Hafeez’s international suspension will also be recognised and enforced by all National Cricket Federations for domestic cricket events played in their own jurisdiction.

However, pursuant to Article 11.5 of the Regulations and with the consent of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Hafeez may be able to bowl in domestic cricket events played under the auspices of the PCB.

Hafeez can apply for a re-assessment after modifying his bowling action in accordance with clause 4.5 of the Regulations.

The professor was anxiously waiting for the result and was hopeful to get his action cleared once again.

Earlier, Hafeez’s bowling consultant Carl Crowe said that his action has improved a lot and hoped that it will be approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as there is no flaw in it.

Mohammad Hafeez’s bowling action was reported during the third ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka by the match officials on October 18.

The all-rounder was directed to undergo biomechanics bowling test within 14 days by the authorities, however, he was not suspended from bowling during the mentioned period.

It is worth mentioning here that the 37-year-old’s bowling action has been reported for third time in past three years, and he cleared the test in India last time.
