Gold and silver prices hit fresh peak

Gold and silver prices on Thursday mounted to fresh highs of Rs 44, 700 per tola and Rs 830 per tola respectively, traders said. Gold prices went up by Rs 400 per tola from Rs 44, 300 while the yellow metal price of 10-gram also reached to a fresh peak of Rs 38, 314 from Rs 37, 971, they added.
On the global market, the precious metal price was quoted $1414 an ounce up from $1,402, they said. Silver prices also surged to new highs of Rs 830 per tola up from Rs 810 and Rs 711 per 10-gram up from Rs 694 respectively, traders said.
