A Division Bench of the Lahore High Court here on Monday called for report from the CCPO Lahore and the DIG within two weeks in a petition which seeks action against those who ordered torturing on the Lahore Bar lawyers last month when they were protesting inside the bar premises for the transfer of District and Sessions Judge, Lahore.
The petition of Saeed Ahmad Malik advocate is being heard by the Bench headed by Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhary which has also directed the SHO Islampura to appear on the next date of hearing along with record of concerned case. The petitioner is aggrieved that persons named in the FIR have yet not been arrested showing discrimination and leniency towards them despite the fact the FIR contains against them very serious charges.
