Two farmers lost their lives on Monday in Tehsil and its vicinity as a result of field accidents during last 24 hours. Police said grower Mushtaq Khan was trying to switch on a peter engine, in the area of Thal Hamza when diesel spilled over his clothes and he caught fire. The young boy, son of Murtaza Khan died of severe burn injuries on the spot.
In another tragic incident, Ayaz Khan was using an agri-implement in his fields, in area Kacha Sabzani, when his clothes were caught in the wheel of the power-operated machine. The farmer received severe injuries and died on the spot. Concerned police of Rukanpur declared both the incidents tragic accidents and handed over bodies to the heirs.
