Cambridge University on Saturday declared the Advanced Level certificate of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) MPA, Khawaja Islam as fake, a private TV channel reported. MPA Khawaja Islam is President of PML-N Faisalabad region. He was elected MPA from PP-72 in the 2008 general elections.
The university authorities said that the A-level certificate of the MPA shows that it was granted to him in 1975 while the university had not initiated the programme at that time. The university also wrote to the Lahore High Court (LHC) in this regard. Earlier, Khawaja Islam's intermediate certificate was also found fake, the channel added.
