Cane Commissioner Sindh Hyderabad Tariq Memon through his office order has revised the transport charges in all sugar mills for lifting sugarcane due to increase in the price of diesel from Rs 71.15 to Rs 78.92 per litter.
According to details the transportation charges for 40 Kg sugarcane from 1 to 10 miles have been fixed as Rs 7.24, 11 miles to 15 miles Rs 8.40, 16 miles to 20 miles Rs 9.43, 21 miles to 25 miles Rs 10.51, 26 to 30 miles Rs 11.93, 31 to 35 miles Rs 13.12, 36 to 40 miles Rs 14.27, 41 to 45 miles Rs 15.81, 46 to 50 miles Rs 16.84, 51 to 55 miles Rs 17.81, 56 to 60 miles Rs 19.02, 61 to 65 miles Rs 20.12 and the transportation charges from 66 to 70 miles have been re-fixed as Rs 21.08 per mile. He further informed that these rates will be applicable with immediate effect.
