A large number of people belonging to various nationalist parties including People's Party and ANP workers culminated outside Karachi Press Club where musical arrangements were met at a very large stage as the provincial government had already announced the public holiday.
On this occasion, Najmi Alam of PPP, Advisor to CM Sharmila Farooqui, Shahi Syed of ANP, Fozia Siddiqui, sister of Dr Aafia Siddiqui, Uzair Baloch of Peoples Amn Committee were also addressed the masses. According to a source, the People's Party is angry over the role of nationalist parties, as they campaigned against the PPP government's inept performances during the recent floods in the province. It is important to mention that workers from various nationalist parties including Sindh Taraqi Pasnd Party, Awami Jamhoori Party, JSQM, SNP, JSMM and SDI were present on Saturday but their leadership was not present on the occasion and they would come on Sunday programme knowing the importance of the day.
