Chairman, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan will lead a protest demonstration on December 12 against the Reformed General Sales Tax (RGST), alleged corruption in government institutions, price hike and inflation in the country.
Speaking at a news conference here on Saturday, PTI regional organiser, Zaid Abbasi strongly criticised the government for it plan of imposing reformed GST on the people, who were already being crushed due to the sky-rocketing price hike.
He lashed out at the PPP-led government for the huge federal cabinet and other extravagances of the rules, saying that the government should immediately curtail its expenditure. He further said that the foreign loans of the country have increased to $60 billion in two and half years, which according to him were $32 billion during Musharraf regime. The PTI leader alleged the government for bribing political parties like Pakistan Muslim League-Q and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) to muster support for passage of the reformed GST Bill from the National Assembly.
