Dr Fehmida Mirza, Speaker National Assembly, has urged the nation to forge unity among their ranks, shun all types of difference and supplement government efforts for ensuring peace in the country during the Holy month of Muharram. She urged in her message on the advent of the month that Islam is a religion of peace, love and tolerance and abhors all forms of sectarianism, extremism and prejudices.
She said that Karbala incident urged the Muslim Ummah that they should not to hesitate to sacrifice for the promotion of the sublime principles of Islam. She said that sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain demanded the Ummah to shun all types of differences and follow true path of tolerance, love and brotherhood. The Speaker called upon Ulema and religious scholars to play their due role to create religious harmony and to spread the true message of Islam.-PR
