Atomic scientist Dr Samar Mubarak Mand will be consulted to launch practical mining and refining work on Rekodiq project, said Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani. Talking to media at Balochistan Assembly here on Friday, Raisani hailed that Ecnec has approved handing over of control of the project to provincial government after the Planning Commission referred to it.
He announced said that he will visit Islamabad on 14th December, where he would call on Dr Samar Mubarak, Chairman Steering Committee on Rekodiq Project to get his consultation on the matter. He added that a technocrat will also be appointed as project director on Rekodiq. The chief minister also announced that federal government will release rupees 120 billion of gas development surcharge to Balochistan government, adding this will help provincial government execute the project.
