Provincial Food and Industries Minister Choudary Abdul Ghafoor has said that government has formulated a strategy for maintaining law and order during Muharram in Punjab. Under the strategy anti-state elements and mischief mongers would be dealt with iron hands he said.
Addressing the members of District Peace Committee, citizen and media here Saturday evening he urged upon the people that they should forge complete unity among the ranks for foiling the evil designs of anti-state elements and menace of terrorism from grass roots levels from the country.
Through unity we can overcome our multifarious problems including menace of terrorism because unity is the only solution for addressing these problems he said. The Provincial Minister said that under a pre-plan conspiracy some anti-state elements were trying to create chaos just to weaken Pakistan just for their personal gains adding that all such conspiracies would be foiled with unity and support of the masses.
He said Islam is a religion of peace, brotherhood and had forbidden the brutality against mankind adding that all sects of Muslims are united and are against the menace of terrorism. The Minister on this occasion stressed upon the people that they should keep a vigilant eye on activities of suspected persons and newcomers in their respective localities and if found any suspicious activity inform police immediately.
There is a great need of image building efforts and it is our religious, moral and national duty that we should collectively work image building of the country he added. The Minister said that Sialkot is not only the hub of exports but also a nucleus of brotherhood and unity adding that it is heartening to note that unity among Ulemas and Religious leaders belonging to all sects is highly laudable.
