Anti-Corruption Establishment has arrested a 'patwari' Sajjad red handed while taking bribe, and sent him to jail on judicial remand. The raid was conducted under the supervision of a magistrate in Kasur. Rasheed Ahmed, a resident of Gohr Hathar, a village near Kasur, lodged a complaint to the anti-corruption authorities that Sajjad demanded rupees five thousand for mutation of his land and this amount was given to him.
Later, he refused transfer of land and demanding gratification of rupees five thousands in this regard. On the directions of anti-corruption authorities, circle officer anti-corruption Kasur, Chaudhry Inam-ul-Haq conducted a raid under the supervision of magistrate Rana Ilyas Bashir at the private office of Sajjad. At that time, the patwari was taking bribe from Rasheed Ahmed and thus, was arrested red handed. The magistrate, after recovery of the amount of gratification, registered a case against Sajjad patwari, arrested him and sent him to jail on judicial remand.
