Pakistan's tennis ace, Aisam-ul-Haq will be leaving for India on Wednesday to participate in ATP Championship in Chennai being played from December 30. After taking part in the Indian event he will fly to Australia to participate in ATP Championship in Sydney and then the years first Grandslam Championship, Australian Open in Melbourne.

Aisam, who is also the Goodwill Ambassador of UNDP, has emphasised that we should not forget the miseries of millions of flood affectees of Pakistan who still need a lot of help and support form us all. "Personally I am still trying my best to not only raise awareness of their needs but also making efforts to raise funds for them. I have two projects in hand. One is to hold a fund raising tennis match and secondly I am requesting top tennis stars like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and others to donate their signature racquets, shoes and clothing etc which will be auctioned to raise funds", said Aisam here on Tuesday.
"I shall request sports enthusiasts of the country to come forward and bid for these collector items in due course of time" said Aisam. Meanwhile Aisam receives yet another acknowledgement and honour for Pakistan. To acknowledge their contribution in promoting a message of peace through sports, the International Olympic Commission has announced to decorate their shirts in IOC Museum Lausanne, Switzerland.
The peace slogan of 'Stop War Start Tennis' given by the world class tennis player Aisam together with his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna received huge applause from sports lovers in general and tennis lovers in particular as well as by other segments of civil society and media all over the world.
They have been wearing shirts with 'Stop War Start Tennis' slogans during and after the Wimbledon and in recognition of their universal peace slogan the World Peace and Sport organisation of Monaco has already given them the prestigious Peace Image of the Year Award.
