The Karachi Port handled 113,331 tonnes of cargo including 67,967 tonnes of import cargo, 45,364 tonnes of export cargo, 5,976 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 67,967 tonnes comprised of 32,374 tonnes of containerised cargo; 29,693 tonnes of bulk cargo: 682 tonnes of sugar; 19,000 tonnes of coal; 10,011 canola seeds and 5,900 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 45,364 tonnes comprised of 35,409 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,512 tonnes of general cargo; 5,965 tonnes of bulk cargo: 2,783 tonnes of cement; 3,182 tonnes of rice and 2,478 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Green Line, APL Amman, Kota Akbar, Cape Manuel, Fair Wind, APL Sharjah and Al-Mirqab with containers, bulk cargo and containers sailed out to sea during the reported period.
One vessel viz Hyundai General carrying containers is currently at the berth. Two ships namely Cora and Samin-1 expected to sail on Tuesday, while three ships namely Ocean Island, Positano and Urawee Naree are expected to sail on Wednesday. Three vessels viz APL Agate, CSL Ride and Neelam carrying containers and coal due to arrive on Tuesday, while another vessel viz Thuringia Express with containers is due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM

The Port Qasim handled 29,029 tonnes of cargo includes 27,409 tonnes of import cargo and 1,620 tonnes of export cargo, 632 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 27,409 tonnes includes 7,845 tonnes of diesel oil; 3,242 tonnes of LPG; 3,310 tonnes of sugar; 5,557 tonnes of chemicals and 7,455 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo includes 1,620 tonnes of containerised cargo. Three ships namely CV HS Haydn, MT SC Ningbo and MT Maersk Glory sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning. A total number of seven vessels viz CV HS Haydn, MV MY Young, MV Yon Phung Ho, MV Lanka Mahapola, MV Al-Jaber, MT SC Ningbo and MT Maersk Glory are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, sugar, chemicals and LPG respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely CMA CGM Mazort, ACX Hibicus, ST Martin and Chemroad Fuji carrying containers, LPG and chemicals are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of four vessels viz namely CV CMA CGM Mazort, CV ACX Hibicus, CV Najran and MT Al-Soor-II with containers and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Two container ships namely CV Villi D Orion and CV MSC Nederland are due to arrive on Wednesday. A total number of three vessels viz Lahore Express, CSAV Jura and Panaglotis-D carrying container and canola seeds are also due to arrive.
