He said Gawadar Port would serve as a catalyst of national development and expressed resolve to make it operational. He directed authorities to complete the road networks on priority basis and directed that a certain percentage of imports and exports be routed through the port.
The Prime Minister assured the delegation that all commitments made in Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan package would be fulfilled and the federal government would continue to consult parliamentarians from the province for further improvement in the initiative. He termed it a first step in a series of other initiatives that the government is undertaking to ensure uplift of Balochistan. He further said the government is open to suggestions for bringing socio-economic development for the people of Balochistan and asked the parliamentarians to come up with new ideas to make Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan more effective and productive.
