President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Ghulam Mustafa Chaudhary has expressed deep concerns over the increase in petroleum prices and said it will bring a cyclone of price hike in the country. Talking to media persons, here on Tuesday afternoon, Ghulam Mustafa said that the increase in petroleum price will affect the common man's life adversely.
He further said people are already suffering from the prevailing price hike and the increase would add more miseries. He also said increase in petroleum prices would hinder exports because the cost of production increase manifolds. He observed that normal life and productivity has already been crippled due to prolonged load shedding of Sui gas and electricity as a result of which people are suffering from mental stress in this cold weather.
Concluding, SCCI president said that business community of this export-oriented city and hub of cottage industry rejects current increase in petroleum prices and demands immediate withdrawal of the decision in the larger interest of common man and economy of the country.
