Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief, Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned assassination of Governor Punjab, Salman Taseer on Tuesday. He termed the incident of terrorism an attempt to destabilise the country, said a statement issued here by MQM.
He said that the elements involved in the assassination are open enemies of nation and the country. He also condoled with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and leaders and workers of Pakistan Peoples Party and demanded that the killers be given stern punishment. Altaf prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in peace and grant courage to the bereaved family members to bear the loss with fortitude.
