Secretary Information of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Fauzia Wahab said on Thursday despite the brutal murder of Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer, the government would continue its policy of reconciliation and take all political forces along on important national issues.
Talking to APP, she said, "it is the success of democratic forces to remove prejudices and discrimination from the society as atmosphere of intolerance is only beneficial for anti-state elements." "Continuation of the policy of reconciliation is imperative for the welfare of common man and national security," she added.
To a question, Fauzia said that the Pakistan Peoples Party-led government was strong and there was no threat to it. She urged all the political parties to get united, shunning petty differences.
